Covid-19 Update

Updated: March 2nd 2022

Following consultation with Staff and students, and considering the ever changing nature of the COVID environment, SISTC has decided to continue teaching online during the March trimester.

During the March trimester you will be asked to attend campus for webinars in some units to familiarise yourselves with the campus and meet your fellow classmates. We will advise you via email of when to come to campus, and these dates will not be before week 5 of the trimester, and will include the option to remain online for March

We look forward to welcoming you for a visit during the March trimester, and for attending campus on a more regular basis in July and subsequent trimesters.

Best of Luck with your studies for 2022 and we look forward to welcoming you in person at SISTC very soon.

COVID-19 Update: Supporting our Community

We’re committed to supporting our students and staff through this difficult time. We will continue to update you as we adapt to life and study during the COVID-19 pandemic. Due to COVID restrictions, our teaching is currently 100% online. Learn from the convenience of your own home.

Our Commitment to Students Learning during COVID

Sydney International School of Technology and Commerce has developed a personal student-centered approach to enable students to engage, collaborate, reflect, and consolidate their new knowledge and skills.

At the start of the week, the Lectorial would be delivered online to the class using video-conferencing software such as Zoom. Students would then work independently and in teams to read the unit material and complete exercises.

Midweek the Lecturer will host an online Webinar to cover the material in depth and solicit feedback from students on their understanding and progress with exercises. The Lecturer will contact each team of students to discuss specific issues and provide feedback.

The Lecturer will post a summary of the week’s work to the Discussion Board of the Learning Management System (LMS). The Lecturer would be available throughout the week at specified times for individual student consultation.

Sydney International has strived to bring you an innovative and comprehensive online learning experience. There will be no recorded lectures or uncontactable staff. Our classes are small, interactive, and provide students with direct access to our academic staff to enhance your learning experience.

The online component of our courses will be reviewed as the Australian Government announces changes to their COVID-19 response.

Our Commitment to Students Health

Should current restrictions change to allow students back to face-to face learning we will enforce strict social distancing in our classrooms.

Our classrooms and facilities will be given regular deep cleans to ensure hygiene.

Counselling can be made available to assist students with their health concerns.
