Approach to Learning

Approach to Learning

At Sydney International all of our education programs are offered in a blend of face-to-face and online modes.

Our learning sessions are highly interactive and all our teaching team are highly experienced, which ensures that you are always supported in your studies. You can ask questions and share your ideas with your fellow students, and as we are a genuinely multicultural school, this enriches the learning experience for all students.

Minimum IT requirements

To get the most from your learning experience, it is important that you own or have frequent access to a fast and reliable computer that’s ideally not more than two years old. You will need to access video recordings and digital learning resources, submit assignments, and participate in class discussion and collaboration via the learning management system.

Hardware requirements: Access to a desktop, laptop or tablet computer running Windows 10 or later, Mac OSX10.11 El Capitan or later. A webcam and headset (including microphone). Reliable, high-speed broadband internet connection, with sufficient upload and download capacity.

Software requirements: Access to an up to date web browser (e.g. Chrome, Safari, Firefox or Edge). Office software to create documents, spreadsheets and presentations. Office 365 is available as a free online resource for students.

Internet requirements: Minimum download speed = 0.75Mbps. Minimum upload speed = 0.35Mbps. Various Internet speed test sites are freely available on the Internet (e.g. Speedtest by Ookla).
