Dr. Mohammad Reza Jabbarpour is an experienced academic and researcher with over 13 years of experience in higher education and ICT research. He has held research fellow positions at both Swinburne University of Technology and Western Sydney University, contributing to several interdisciplinary projects. Prior to these roles, he served as an Assistant Professor in the ICT Department at the Niroo Research Institute (NRI), Tehran, Iran. In 2017, he received a postdoctoral fellowship at Iran’s National Elites Foundation hosted at Iran Telecommunication Research Centre (ITRC). Concurrently, from 2016 to 2018, he also held an Assistant Professor position in the Department of Computer Engineering at the Islamic Azad University, North Tehran Branch.
Dr. Reza has authored over 45 peer-reviewed papers in high-impact journals and leading international conferences. He received several prestigious awards, including the Asia Invention Association Grand Award and Gold Medal at WiC 2015, Bronze Medal at PECIPTA 2015, and a Merit Award in the Singapore Challenge for his patented innovation. His current research interests span machine learning, federated learning, blockchain technologies, satellite resiliency, vehicular networks and connected vehicles.
