Dr. Yeganeh Baghi is an interdisciplinary educator and researcher specializing in innovative, sustainability-oriented technologies in the built environment. With a background in software engineering and mechatronics, she earned her Ph.D. at the University of Wollongong, Australia, where she also completed a teaching-focused postdoctoral fellowship.
Her work focuses on sustainability-driven innovation in smart homes and advanced building technologies. As Innovation Coordinator and a member of the HVAC systems team, she played a key role in the development of the award-winning Desert Rose House—a net-positive energy smart home created for the Solar Decathlon Middle East. She currently lectures at the Sydney International School of Technology and Commerce (SISTC).
A committed advocate for gender equity in engineering and technology, Dr. Baghi serves as a committee member of the Women’s Research Engineers Network (WREN). She regularly leads and contributes to STEM outreach, mentorship, and educational workshops that empower the next generation—particularly young women pursuing careers in STEM.
