    Policy, Procedure

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) for credit involves an assessment process that determines whether your formal and informal qualifications and/or skills, knowledge and experience that are mapped as AQF level equivalent to SISTC units of study, based on the evidence you provide about what you have learnt through your formal studies or work and life experience.

You may have developed your skills and knowledge of equivalent learning through a combination of:

  • Previously completed study and award qualifications
  • Work experience
  • Life experience, such as community involvement.

Our process considers all relevant skills, knowledge, and experience for which you provide current evidence on our Application for Credit Form.

Application Process

Complete the Application Form and provide certified documentary evidence of your formal qualifications and/or experience and knowledge. The evidence is a way for you to inform us about what you can do and what you know. Examples of evidence you can provide are listed on the form.

  1. Check your suitability to commence application by checking the evidence requirements and that you can demonstrate them
  2. Start your application by enrolling, paying fees and submitting your evidence ready for assessment
  3. Respond to any follow up questions or requests for further information and receive an email outcome.
